Trends of investment activity development of Rostov Region, Russian Federation

Abstract

The article considers the modern trends of investment activity of the Rostov region of Russia, that provide the region's leadership in terms of investments into fixed capital and investment potential. As follows from the analysis of investment structure in branches of the Rostov region economy, the sphere of production and distribution of electricity, gas and water accounts for the largest share. Within the framework of the investment program of the Rostov region for 2013 on construction and repair of budget and socially significant objects of the region the largest amount of expenditure (65.7%) is to be used to develop the region's road complex – construction and reconstruction of roads, providing illumination for intermunicipal routes. In the region's structure of the sources of the fixed capital investment financing the largest share (66.6%) is taken by borrowed funds. The amount of budget financing in the region in recent years has the tendency of annual reduction with an increase of credit resources. The main documents of the region's investment legislation are researched. Risks are analyzed and the problems hindering the development of investment activity in the area are listed
