Regarding the black sea regional cluster initiative

Abstract

In order to prove the idea of the Black Sea regional cluster initiative, the article discusses the current educational and scientific relations between Georgia and the countries in Black Sea region as well as the indicators of business activities based on the import and export and the foreign direct investments of Georgia. The article also provides the opinions of European experts regarding the purposes of clusters and the advantages countries and companies may get by joining the clusters. There is a list of clusters functioning in Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Turkey in the paper. It’s suggested to develop a joint scientific project with the participation of scientists from all the countries of the region for preparing theoretical foundations for the Black Sea regional cluster initiative.
