Sectoral diversification of international investment in the Black Sea in the context of the global recession

Abstract

The paper deals with the problems of development and international investment processes. It set the goal of exploring ways and sectoral diversification of international investment in the Black Sea countries in the context of the global recession. The author emphasizes the connection between the worsening crisis in the EU and reducing the desire of investors to launch a new cross-border investment initiatives. The article shows a diagram of the fall and the quality of the projects of foreign direct investment "from scratch" by sector. Also shows the evolution of the distribution volume of investment projects over the years. The conclusion about the tendency to reduce the cost of cross-border projects. On the composition of FDI projects significantly affected industry diversification. Identified 10 industries that have experienced the most decline of FDI projects "from scratch". This is due to the crisis, which severely affected the spectrum of industrial activity.
