Оf development of world port system on activity of seaports of Ukraine

Abstract

Seaports today is an integral part of the international transport chain and world trade. When national economy development depended on home markets, ports did not play such important role. Process of globalisation of national economies leads the necessity states to carry out the macroeconomic policy focused for export which in turn provides essential growth of volume of foreign trade. In this connection value of ports and their role increases in achievement of national economic targets. The port is also the centre of commercial services which do to the users a complex of services at transfer of cargoes, acts in role the centre of individual service, the centre of technical services, the ecological centre. Besides, at presence of favorable conditions and government support, the port can create all necessary conditions for industry development in port to a zone. In other words, the modern port is a transport knot, the centre of services, base of material support of trade and industrial development port zones. Last decades international trade has turned to the basic engine economic growth of many countries which has radically changed character of activity of ports. For them new possibilities but as all new, they are connected to the big risk because ports become a part of huge competitive system are slightly opened.
